PRIMARY FOCUS / ROLE
Student Ministry/Discipleship training
THE WHY
Relationship is foundational to ministry and spreading the word of God, and that is the core of the Navigators. University students in particular are living out a time of massive identity shift and seeking purpose, and helping them see God and build a deeper relationship with Him is so important to the foundation of their lives as they continue to grow and change. I get to help young women in particular learn what it means to transition from childhood/teenage years to adulthood rooted in faith. At the same time, I am also in a Discipleship training course where I learn how to come alongside people in the different communities I am a part of.
CURRENT PRAYER NEEDS
I am re-entering fundraising season and need to raise approximately $37,000. I am also considering what it would mean to continue this ministry long-term and would love discernment on where God wants me to go after I finish two years here.
Prayer for the student ministry - that we would get the students we need, that we would plan the events that will draw them together, and that we would be good shepherds of our flock - is always appreciated.

MISSION STATEMENT / WHAT THEY DO
The UK Navigator's slogan is "get alongside someone and see what God can do," which looks like learning how to walk with the people in your community and draw nearer to God together. I work primarily with University students in Glasgow, Scotland, helping them see how God is working in their context and living out a Christ-based life together.
RECENT STORY OR TESTIMONY
One of my students has demonstrated massive growth in the time since I met her in September. When I first started meeting with her, she was unsure of how to approach prayer, time with God, or building foundations with a Christian community. As the year has gone on, she has discovered new ways to hear God's voice through the noise of her life and gained courage to put herself out there in both Christian and secular circles, where she has the chance for leadership. Getting to know her and seeing her heart and drive for God develop has been a huge gift, and I'm so excited to watch it continue.
