PRIMARY FOCUS / ROLE

Church Planting & Education

THE WHY

Africa, and Kenya specifically, has lots of untrained people starting churches that end up as cults. Africa has a young population that needs constant shepherding to stem secularism and nominal Christianity.

CURRENT PRAYER NEEDS

1. PhD Dissertation.
I am currently doing/Reading on Literature Review. Pray for concentration and good supervisors. My Dissertation is on A cultural nexus with Christian Faith. It's always a tricky balance for discipleship where cultural practices tend to be syncretic. The topic is a rich place for designing.
2. Vacation Bible School & Ministry Focus.
My wife is great with Sunday School. We wish to resume running VBS in our rural community. Kindly consider supporting this venture. We normally invite the neighborhood children during school holidays. We develop the lessons, crafts, and fun activities. The event runs for a couple of days. Each day we serve a snack, and the children head back to their homes after a light lunch.
3. Funds for Children Schooling and Ministry.
In this rural home, we have an unfinished house; COVID did us in. The house is designed to cater to retreats and hosting activities geared toward discipleship, mentorship, and leadership development. Every time we are there, we are flooded by villagers and visitors and have very constructive evangelistic and discipleship conversations. I can only imagine the impact this place will have when it has better facilities.
Our boys are advancing in their school, and by the end of this year, 2026. We need to have a large sum to cater for Jabulani's High School.

RECENT STORY OR TESTIMONY

As a church planter, I remember a young man coming through our doors. I welcomed him, and because he was so young, I asked him to bring his Parents to confirm that he was allowed to attend our church. Today this young man has a young family, and his mother is a member of the congregation.
Recently I
started witnessing to a young man; he was not going to church and was living a rowdy life. He is now committed to a church, committed to Christ, and is seeking to start a family. I still disciple him.
