The Navigators

PRIMARY FOCUS / ROLE

Both Cathy and I serve on the Navigators’ Pastoral Care Team. We serve to assist in helping our staff “be healthy in soul, thoroughly equipped for the ministry” by counseling, spiritual formation, helping marriages, sabbaticals, individual counseling, and many avenues to “keep our laborers’ laboring.”

THE WHY

If the Pastoral Care Team isn’t available for our 3,000 global missionaries and staff in times of extreme fatigue, family crisis, marital discord, relational struggles, and depression, then they will have to come off the fields prematurely and lose ministry impact and weaken their missions and longevity.

CURRENT PRAYER NEEDS

Prayer for ongoing funding as a full-time faith missionary. Pray for our July funding trip to Spokane, where we will meet 50 ministry partners for ongoing and some new supporters to continue to be fully funded.

RECENT STORY OR TESTIMONY

Cathy and my mission on the Care Team helped a state side married couple walk through high levels of anxiety with years of infertility that was historically devastating to this couple and impacting their lives; by using our own long story of infertility, we were able to come alongside and provide a safe place to heal, find encouragement, and trust the Lord in deeper ways. They just had a beautiful baby girl last month!
